To All of Our Wonderful Patients,
Let me start by saying, THIS IS NOT A RETIREMENT
LETTER. I’m still in good shape, love
my job, and look
forward to working many more years.
I have been fortunate for 33 years
to be part of a second-generation dental practice that my
dad started in
1960. He was a one man show doing fillings and billings, all with no gloves or masks. Some
of you remember
me when I was just a twinkle in my mom’s eye. Back then both my family and my
dad’s practice fit
in the same house. Eventually the practice grew, and my family moved out.
Today, 64 years later, we have grown our practice to
the point where we have outgrown our
space. This had led
to reduced flexibility with scheduling, and patients having to wait for appointments longer
than we’d
like. We still love doing dentistry, treating old and new patients alike. We continue to
provide
comprehensive care at a high level, but in order to continue to do so we have decided to
move our physical
practice only two blocks away to a larger, modern, state of the art facility called
Associates in Dental
Health (ADH), located at 10 Doane St, Bradford.
I REPEAT, THIS IS NOT A RETIREMENT
LETTER
I explored numerous options which would benefit our
patients, staff and my family going
forward. A merger
with Associates in Dental Health has checked all of the boxes perfectly.
Nobody likes change, but the only
change occurring is the address of your dental care. Our
team and I will be
moving ¼ mile down the street, where we will have access to a spectacular facility
offering our
patients greater treatment options and expanded hours. ADH offers patients services that we
currently do
not, including extractions, implants, and root canals. I am confident that this move will
provide our
patients with an exceptional level of service. You will of course continue to see myself as
your dentist.
I have known the director of Associates in Dental
Health, Dr. Parsia Koleini, for years. He
is a passionate,
personable, and talented clinician. He has a wealth of experience in many aspects of
dentistry, and it is a
perfect opportunity for me to broaden my skill set and continue to learn. Many of you have
met him in the
past, as he typically covers for me if I’m on vacation. Having worked mostly as a solo
practitioner,
I’m also excited to have a colleague to collaborate with.
At this point there is absolutely
nothing you need to do on your part. Your chart, insurance
information, and
X-rays will be seamlessly transferred to our new location.
Over the next few weeks, our team will contact you
directly by phone to let you know if your
upcoming
appointment is at the new location. If you do not hear from us, please assume your
appointment is at our
Church St. location.
Our plan is to stop seeing patients
at the Church St. location by October 24th, but we will
continue to have
support staff there to answer the phones. We are hoping to fully close the Church St.
location shortly
after.
Again, it’s my sincere belief that this change
of location will better suit our
patients and staff. I
am personally excited for what the future holds. I look forward to opening this new chapter
with you.
Sincerely yours,
Karl Arakelian, DMD
