Conservative Bonding Can Transform Your Smile for the Better

teeth with receded gumsThis blog is a follow up to a recent blog that a lot of folks were asking about.

We previously spoke about closing the “black triangles” that arise when teeth shift, gums recede and fillings wear out.

A patient recently came to our office for a second opinion regarding her upper teeth. Another dentist had recommended extracting all of them and making her a removable denture.

The patient was not prepared to have all of her top teeth removed. Structurally, they are very sound. Esthetically, they are worn, stained and crowded. The gums have receded. But using our very conservative bonding technique, we were able to restore all of her upper teeth in two 60 minute visits.

Needless to say, the patient was ecstatic!

Not only were we able to improve her smile, we improved her function. That is, her ability to chew was greatly enhanced. These cases are greatly rewarding to me as a dentist, our greatest satisfaction is to see the look of genuine surprise and then joy on the patient’s face.
